Homemade Pesto Sauce

I think I’m addicted ! Pesto sauce has really changed my life for the better. I’ve never had pesto sauce before; the first time I tried it was making it from the comfort of my home.


What I love about this recipe is the colour, it reminds me of nature with its rich green colour. Don’t get it twisted... green is not my favourite colour, you won’t catch me wearing it unless it’s a hunter green coloured outfit (so elegant!).


Here are the health benefits of Pesto sauce if you’re still not convinced in giving it a try. Pesto sauce is a great antioxidants because of certain ingredients like garlic, for example. Pesto sauce can help with your blood pressure and it’s also a great source to get calcium. Pesto sauce offers you lots of healthy nutrients that many other over the counter sauces could never offer.


Pesto sauce is soooo versatile ! You can add it on pizza, sandwiches, pastas, it can also serve as a dressing or dipping sauce. What more could you ask for ?!



In conclusion, my advice for you going forward is to slowly let go of buying sauces at the store. When you make homemade sauces, you are 100% less likely to consumer anything that will be of harm to your health; to be in control of what goes inside your body is the best thing you can do for you and your family.


Servings :

Can serve up to 5+ people (depending on the amount needed)




Ingredients:

•1 cup of parsley

•1 cup of cilantro

•1 cup of olive oil

•1 cup of Raw Cashew

•1 Cup of Shredded vegan cheese

•1 red onion

•1 garlic clove

•1 lime

•1 tablespoon of onion powder

•Some peppers

•Some salt





Instructions:

•Place all ingredients in blender and blend !



•Once completed, place sauce in a container. Don’t be afraid of eating this sauce cold or hot; Either way it will taste amazing. Enjoy !
